What? No! My fanfic policy is not to start a WIP so I won't suffer because of delays or if the author decide to abandon the fic...but well, this is magnificent & I only meant to read the first few lines but just couldn't. Sherlock-beast would have been the logical choice, but I'm really glad you choose John, and all in all, considering this is a AU, keeping them all in character. Lovely descriptions and situations (the leather mask, and the red foxes and Sherlock's fascination with John!). And I was really impressed with the timeline and the map! Specially the last one, since I'm terrible at locations so I found it quite helpful! So to resume, excellent job, this could become my favorite AU in Sherlock fandom, and I'm eagerly awaiting for updates now, however painful that turns to be sometimes.
