I was supposed to do things this afternoon. But I started to read your story and promptly fell under its spell. Long hours of a wonderful read, of slipping into another world, burrowing in its warmth. I loved the parallel with The Beauty and The Beast, I loved your beautiful descriptions of the nature around them. I see nature like this and have always partaken in its beauty. I discovered as I grew up and then older that not everyone noticed the stars in the nightsky, the way the moon changed colors or the beauty of a foggy sunrise as they drove to work. So I really cherished your descriptions. I loved that no matter where or when, they were still Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. LOVED the end with them being behind Conan Doyle. It was a very nice touch! But most of all, I was spellbound by how you wrote them slowly falling in love, especially Sherlock. The curiosity, the fascination, the small touches, the attraction... The time and place of the story, your writing style... at times I had the impression of reading something written a long time ago, when Romantism was at its height. Charlotte Brontë came to my mind. Merci beaucoup pour ce moment hors du temps :o)
