Thank you for commenting, I'm really glad you liked it. I'm very fond of the "door scene". In fact, it's part of a gigantic WIP I was working on before the prompt ate my soul (but it happens in 1886, so they had paper instead of phones). The scene just begged to be written into that fic too and I obliged.
